The Prime Minister of Sweden H.E. Fredrik Reinfeldt visited the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce before the coming election in September 2014. The Prime Minister was concerned about the new winds of nationalism and protectionism over Europe. Sweden is highly dependent on international business and Export to the global market, hence we cannot take a step back in the development of the European Union. Furthermore the occupation of Ukraine reminds us once again about the importance of unification and partnership, the Prime Minister said.
Sweden is in need of international companies and foreign labour. We should welcome investors at the same time as demand that they follow our collective bargaining agreements, rules and regulations.
